How often are the Whois data updated? The Whois data are updated once a month. The information is collected on a continuous basis but due to the huge volume of data the search index is only amended periodically.
My private information has been shared on your website. Who gave you the rights to publish it? What should I do to delete it from Google? All the information at WebBoar has been taken from public sources. However we always remove it if someone asks us for this. Just contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or our Contacts page. Include your website and the URL at webboar where your company information is located. The records will be deleted within one business week. The information may still stay online on Google for a while as they require more time for reindexing. We cannot affect the process at Google in any way so you should just wait until they are able to update their search index.
Verifying site ownershipTo prevent unauthorized changes, we have to verify that you really own the sites you want to modify. Doing this is extremely simple, and can be completed in one of two ways:
1) By uploading a specific file to your website's root directory
2) By adding a tag with some specific content
Both of these are accessible from your profile page, and only take a few seconds to implement.
Why I should register?Firstly, there's no risk: when you sign up, we only ask you for the bare minimum of details, and if you already use one of our affiliated services (Google, Yahoo, Twitter, AIM, Netlog or OpenID), you don't need to sign up at all! Just click on one of the links provided, log in on a secure server, then be directed back to us.
Secondly, there are lots of benefits! Alongside everything you can normally do on the site, registered users can edit information about their websites [once they've verified ownership], and can even remove their websites altogether. We're also in the process of implementing a set of notification features to let you know if and when your website gets hacked or you lose a lot of backlinks etc.
